Nicki: Intimate Partner Violence (what it is; promoting factors; characteristics of abuser; nursing interventions)
Sam: Child Abuse—medical conditions/cultural practices/others mistaken for child abuse; might include ways to differentiate if i can find some online or if Chris hasn't already touched on the topic of how we can tell if its child abuse.

-Outreach groups/counseling/role of social services/support groups
(Nicki): So I'm looking at the grading criteria, and we need to have 5 journal articles and 3 research ideas (I have no idea what the difference is). So, I think it's easiest if each of us looks up 1-2 articles related to whatever we're talking about.
Game Plan as of 11/4/09:
-We need to have three teaching strategies for our presentation. Nicki, Chris, Sam (and Mike?) will include a short video clip during their power point presentations. Nicki and Chris will also make a handout for specific nursing interventions related to Intimate Partner Violence and Child Abuse. This covers 3 strategies: power point, video, and handouts.
-Sam will compile our PP slides into one document so that we only need one laptop during our presentation
-We will meet again either next Wednesday or prior to theory lecture on Thursday to go over everything
-Email your references to Sam along with your portion of the slides so he can compile a reference list
